When I first bought this vest, I had no idea what to wear it with. Or rather, everything I paired it with looked great in my head, but not in real life... Does that ever happen to you? I guess it isn't surprising that I paired it with this black and white outfit, lol! I rediscovered this shirt recently and love how versatile it is. Dots might be the new stripe for me!
I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was fairly low key after being in NYC last week. I never sleep as well away from home as I do in my own bed so I was overdue for a catch up. As we transition into spring, I'm beginning to think about the pieces that will be staples in my closet moving forward and what I want need. When I had this white blazer made last year (for under $100 - I have to figure out how to get back to Vietnam!), I didn't realize what a staple in my closet it would become. I find myself reaching for it so often that I hate parting with it to even send it to the dry cleaner. (Of course I send it, lol!) If you don't have one, I highly recommend picking one up for spring or a sleeveless vest (like this one), which is a great alternative.

Do you ever have outfits that come together by accident? This is an example of one of those outfits for me. I rediscovered this faux fur vest in my closet and threw it one over my jacket on the way out the door since I wanted a little extra warmth. I fully intended to switch the vest to wear under the jacket later. However, I ended up liking up so much I kept the vest over the jacket.
Just a warning, when I took off my vest and jacket, I almost forget my vest at the bar since don't normally layer the two. Don't be forgetful like me!

If you are a long-time reader of this blog, you probably know that I'm a big fan of purchasing pieces that I can wear season after season (gotta get that cost/wear down!). With all of the spring clothes hitting stores and online, there are so many cute dresses tempting me (especially here,here, and here). I refuse to purchase anything I can't wear now so I have to look for ways to make spring clothes winter appropriate. With all of the pink and red this week, I figured why not end the week with both? I've wanted to pair the two together since last summer, but finally made it work this week. I hope your week is going well! I was a little slow to the over the knee boot trend but I knew as soon as I found these boots on sale (last pair in my size - it was meant to be!) that they would become a staple in my closet. I was worried they would be a little too Pretty Woman, but they are very chic and a great addition to any outfit. I've worn them with jeans and with dressesand almost don't want to let them off my feet!

I know I've said I love black and white many times on here before, but I feel like I'm wearing more of it than ever recently.
