I hope you had a great weekend and a great Valentine's (or Galentine's Day)!  I had fun plans to have a Galentine's Day with one of best girl friends, but a "brief" nap at 8 killed those plans.  Let's just say I woke up around 1 AM.  Oops!  In some ways it was fitting to spend Valentine alone.  The last few years have thrown some curveballs (much of it stemming from a job where I was really unhappy)  at me that really knocked my confidence and made me doubt myself.  This year, I finally feel like I'm starting to find my groove and love the relationship I have with myself, not in a conceited way, but in a more confident way.  I know it will always be a work in process and I'm excited to keep working on my relationship with myself, but I'm really happy with where I am now.

I hope you had a great weekend!  I've had this dress for a long time (I'm almost embarrassed to say how many years...), but rarely wore it as I never really knew what to pair it with.  The dress is cashmere and so soft, but very warm and also a little more form-fitting than I normally wear.  It probably wasn't the smartest decision to throw my fur vest over it (I think I was a puddle by the end of the night), but was fun to step outside of my fashion comfort zone for a night at least.  It isn't fun to always play it safe!
