Weekly Weaknesses

1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9

I hope your week is going well!  I'm finally back home and can tell that I have spring on the brain as all I want to buy are colorful rompers, flowy dresses, and pieces that go from the pool to dinner.  I'm going to the beach next month and I'm obsessed with this bathing suit and might grab this dress to go over it.  Also, this bag is on my list as it is so chic and such a great deal at under $35!

There are also a few great sales going on right now/ interesting collaborations to look forward to.

Tibi is having an online sample sale, which is always a great chance to pick up one of their pieces for a great price. I'm trying to be good, but I have my eye on this top, this dress, and these boots.  Shop the sale here

Bloomingdale's is having their Friends and Family sale this week.  Take 25% your purchase (some exclusions apply) with code FRIENDS.  It is a great time to pick up on a pair of jeans, this BB Dakota faux leather jacket, or this jumpsuit.

I'm also counting down the days until Milly collaboration for Kohl's launches (an interesting choice....) and the Lilly Pulitzer/Target collaboration (lookbook here)launches on April 19th.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

I hope your week is going well!

I picked up this skirt during the last Piperlime sale and can't rave about it enough (especially as it is under $30 right now).  I was a little nervous about the midi trend as I'm pretty short (5'2 and hence my collection of heels). However, I've found a few ways to make it work for me.  I had the skirt hemmed to hit right below the knee (my definition of a midi skirt), and am wearing nude heels to elongate my (short) legs.  I also kept my look monochromatic on top.   By doing these three things, I found that the midi skirt is actually quite flattering and I might pick up a few more (especially if I find them under $30!).

Have you embraced the midi skirt trend?

Jacket: Gap / Earrings: Accessory Concierge / Bucket Bag: Vince Camuto / Bracelet: Kendra Scott / Shoes: Schutz and (love all of these Schutz shoes)

If you are a long-time reader of this blog, you probably know that I'm a big fan of purchasing pieces that I can wear season after season (gotta get that cost/wear down!).  With all of the spring clothes hitting stores and online, there are so many cute dresses tempting me (especially here, here, and here).  I refuse to purchase anything I can't wear now so I have to look for ways to make spring clothes winter appropriate.  This white dress at Piperlime caught my eye (especially at under $70!) and I couldn't resist pairing it with black and grey for winter.  In colder areas, I would probably add tights under the dress. And then of course nothing says spring/summer like bright accessories.   It's funny as I consider myself more of a pants person, but you might see a lot of skirts and dresses this spring/summer!

Stripes and Leather

Jacket: Zara
Dress: Topshop, old, similar, similar under $15!
Earrings: BaubleBar, similar
Necklace: BaubleBar
Tights: c/o Spanx
Clutch: Clare V.
Bracelets: Baublebar (here, here, sold out, similar)
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington

I hope your week is going well!  I know I've said that layering a dress over a turtleneck is one my favorite ways to make that dress winter appropriate.  I think this black turtleneck is one of the most loved items in my closet!  I've worn this Topshop dress on the blog before (last seen here), but wanted to dress it down a bit for work to drinks outfit (aka get another wear out of it!).  While I loved the way it looked,  I realized about half way through the day that this dress and the turtleneck weren't a very good combo when I had trouble lifting my arms above my head.  Oh well, thankfully I didn't have to raise my hand for anything that day, lol!

How to Wear White in Winter

Jacket: Piperlime, similar
Sweater: A.L.C., sold out, similar
Jeans: Spanx c/o
Bracelets: Bauble Bar (here, here, similar)
Earrings: Bauble Bar, sold out
Watch: Daniel Wellington c/o
Necklace: Bauble Bar

Happy Friday!!  I hope you had a great week.  The first week after a long vacation is always a little tough.

I'm always trying to make my wardrobe seasonless so even though it is winter, I'm still wearing my white jeans.  There is something very clean and refreshing about white and pastels in the winter (maybe I'm subconsciously wishing for spring) and I couldn't resist pairing them together.  We all know that black and white is one of my favorite combos (here, here, here, you get the idea...), so it isn't surprising I snuck a little black and white in this outfit as well.

On totally different note, did you know that C. Wonder is closing and having a great going out of business sale?  Everything is 50% off!  I've never tried their clothes, but love their accessories and jewelry (especially on sale!).  Shop the sale here.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!  Stay warm!
