Turning a Dress into A Skirt

Shirt: Banana Republic
Dress (worn as skirt): Target
Shoes: Enzo Angiolini
Purse: Proenza Schouler

TGIF!!  I apologize for being so bad this week about responding to comments.  I totally jinxed myself at work by saying things weren't that busy before I went away this past weekend, but look forward to catching up over the weekend!

Do you have those items in your closet that you like but you don't love?  This dress is one of them for me.  I last wore it on the blog here.  I love the print and it has pockets, but I don't think the top of the dress fits that well so I don't wear it as much as I should.  I don't know why it didn't occur to me earlier to just toss a nice top over it and convert it into a skirt, but I'm so happy I finally did!  I love it as a skirt!

Do you guys ever wear your dresses as skirts?

Have a great weekend!

I'm so excited to have this look featured on Sew Sarah R today.  Check it out here!

  2. Don't you love those "eureka" moments? I want to try this with a sweater over a dress and boots. I'm just waiting for the weather to get a bit cooler. That is a great print and you did an excellent job with the top. I would never know it was a dress!

  20. I wear my maxi dresses as skirts sometimes. Your post made me think that I have a midi dress that does not fit well on top that I should turn into a skirt! Love how you styled yours! You look stunning!
