Getting Another Wear Out of Your Party Dress

Dress: Fab'rik
Jacket: Gap, similar
Turtleneck: J. Crew
Tights: Hue
Boots: Rag & Bone
Necklace: Bauble Bar (on sale!)
Bracelets: Bauble Bar (here, here, here)

I hope you had a great weekend!  I'm so excited, but also can't quite believe that it is Christmas week.  I still have a few things to pick up before the big day, but I'm definitely looking forward to a little rest, relaxation and family time.

I'm all about remixing pieces in my closet and keeping everything to a reasonable cost per wear (the original cost of the item divided by the number of times you wear an item).  On Friday, I shared some of my picks for NYE outfits.  I'm always looking for ways to get more wears out everything in my closet, including my party dresses.  I last wore this dress here with my tuxedo blazer and decided to dress it down for a dinner with the family by layering it over a turtleneck and adding my trusty denim jacket which makes any outfit slightly more casual but still pulled together.

I know most of us (except the #procrastinators (i.e. me)) have finished their Christmas shopping, but I wanted to share one last sale.  We all know how much I love Bauble Bar and I'm very excited they started their sale before Christmas.  I've got my eye on these earrings, this necklace, and this cute pouch to store everything.  Shop the sale here.

  2. One of my favorite ways of dressing is combining dressier items with more casual ones. I love what you did here. The dress took on a totally new look with the light wash denim jacket and booties! Great look, Nicole!

  4. Love the dress! I love the addition of the denim jacket! It can be a day time dressy look and becomes a night look without the jacket!

  5. ME TOO -- I have one more gift to get and it's haunting me! Do you have any tips on reworking a sequin dress? I'm blanking out, but I love how you reworked yours!
