When I first bought this vest, I had no idea what to wear it with. Or rather, everything I paired it with looked great in my head, but not in real life... Does that ever happen to you? I guess it isn't surprising that I paired it with this black and white outfit, lol! I rediscovered this shirt recently and love how versatile it is. Dots might be the new stripe for me!
Can you believe that it is April already?! This year is flying by! Do you have any pieces in your closet that were so cute in the store, but you just can't figure out how to wear them? This skirt is one of those pieces for me. I fell in love with it last fall, but it sits in my closet taunting me as I can't figure out what to pair it with. My chambray shirt came to the rescue this time, but I know there are so many other cute ways to style this shirt. I just can't figure them out! So I'm turning it over to you guys. I hope your week is going well! I'm finally back home and can tell that I have spring on the brain as all I want to buy are colorful rompers, flowy dresses, and pieces that go from the pool to dinner. I'm going to the beach next month and I'm obsessed with this bathing suit and might grab this dress to go over it. Also, this bag is on my list as it is so chic and such a great deal at under $35!

I hope you had a great weekend! This weekend was absolutely gorgeous and totally re-emphasized the importance of good friends. You know how sometimes you get to the end of the week and all you can think of is laying on the couch, but you have plans to go out. Last week was one of those weeks and Friday was one of those days, but I forced myself to go out to dinner with friends that were in town. I probably would have canceled if they lived in Atlanta.... However, I am so happy I went. We laughed so much and gossiped a good bit that it made me forget everything that made last week so long and re-energized me for this week (at least until I lost an hour Saturday night...). I've been staying quite a bit over the last few weekend (House of Cards, etc.), but sometimes you just need a great glass of wine and hilarious conversation with good friends to get make you forget some of life's little frustrations.
I hope your week is going well! I have a tendency to stick with a few key items every season and wear them constantly. This turtleneck is one of those items and I think these pants are on their way to become another. The last time I wore these pants was with a very casual outfit, but all of my clothes have to do double (or triple duty) so I paired them with heels for a slightly dressier look. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I actually really like the result! Have you/would you wear jogger pants with heels?
Sometimes, you just have to admit when you are wrong. I resisted the joggers trend for so long as I didn't think they would be flattering. I thought I would rather wear my jeans. Some of the girls at work and some of my fellow bloggers have been rocking them, but I just never thought they were for me. That all changed when I tried on my first pair. Yes, I totally judged them without even trying them. They are quite possibly the most comfortable pair of pants I own! I think there is an update coming to my weekend uniform. I hope you had a great weekend! It was a little chilly and gloomy here, but I can't complain since it was nothing compared to what my friends are experiencing in other parts of the country.
Do you ever have outfits that come together by accident? This is an example of one of those outfits for me. I rediscovered this faux fur vest in my closet and threw it one over my jacket on the way out the door since I wanted a little extra warmth. I fully intended to switch the vest to wear under the jacket later. However, I ended up liking up so much I kept the vest over the jacket.
Just a warning, when I took off my vest and jacket, I almost forget my vest at the bar since don't normally layer the two. Don't be forgetful like me!

I hope your week is going well! I'm keeping it short today as I totally thought I had a post already written and scheduled for today (you can probably tell from the imaginative title, lol!).... I'm trying to wear these grey over the knee boots as many times as possible before it gets too warm (which doesn't look like any time soon...). I've paired them with skirts, other jeans, and dresses and am surprised at how versatile they are. I only wish I'd bought them earlier! What have been some of your favorite items this winter? Happy almost Friday! The cold I've been trying to avoid finally caught up with me this week so I'm looking forward to laying low this weekend and maybe catching a few more episodes of The Good Wife! I'm in season 4 and totally addicted. I decided to add a little color into my recent black and white kick and layered one of my favorite sweaters over this plaid shirt. Slowly but surely, I'm adding a little more color as spring gets closer.
