Red Plaid Shirt

Blazer: J. Crew, old, similar, budget option
Top: Fab'rik, also love this one
Shoes: Jimmy Choo, old, similar, similar
Earrings: Baublebar (here, here)
Bracelets: Baublebar (here, here, similar, similar)

I guess it is blue blazer week here!  I promise this isn't the same blazer I wore on Monday, but I'm too tired to edit another set of pictures, I've been indulging my inner prep recently (Sorry!).  It took me a while to find the perfect red plaid shirt, but I've worn this one twice since picking it up over the weekend.  I love the plaid and leopard mix (but I love leopard with everything!) and I'm sure this outfit will be on repeat as long as it is warm enough to not wear boots.  I can also already see this red plaid shirt with my leather skirt, leggings and a fur vest, this list goes on...

Have a great day and thanks for reading!

P.S. I'm sorry some of images came out slightly blurred.  They showed up clear on my computer so I have to figure out what's causing that.... Just when I thought I had my camera figured out, lol!

Dress: Zara, really like this one
Shoes: Jimmy Choo, similar, similar, LOVE these
Necklace: Baublebar, sold out
Bracelets: Baublebar (here, similar, similar)
Earrings: Baublebar (here, here)
Purse: Marc Jacobs, old, love this one and this one

I hope your week is going well!  Can you believe that it is October 1st already?!  I feel like I blinked and September was gone.  Last night I had the opportunity to attend the Think Pink fashion show.  I mentioned that I had the pleasure of styling a breast cancer survivor for the show and it was a great experience.  I'm so happy I could be involved in raising money for a great cause.  I will be posting a full recap on the blog soon, but you can see a few pictures on my Instagram account here.

Leather is one of those fabrics that I can't get enough of as the temperature drops, so when I saw this dress in Zara I knew I had to have it.  I've been waiting patiently for the temperature to drop enough so that I don't melt while I'm wearing it and it's finally cool enough for me to wear it!  I love it with pumps now, but can't wait to pair it with tights and booties when it gets even cooler.  This dress will be seeing a lot of action this fall!

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Happy Friday!  I'm so excited that I'm going to the Boyz II Men and En Vogue concert tonight!!

I'm going to keep it short today except to profess my love of this monochromatic look on top.  I love to match the color of my top and my blazer to create a clean look.  To me, it is simple, chic, and polished.

What are you up to this weekend?  I hope you have a good weekend!

Gina is featuring my outfit with new (only) Express shirt on her blog today.  Check it out here!

There is something about an all white look that is so chic in the summer.  Whether it is an LWD or white separates, white means summer to me for some reason.  Maybe it is because it looks great against a tan?

I bought this white shirt from Target in the beginning of the summer and it has become my go-to casual white shirt.  I paired it with my favorite (only) pair of white jeans and added a few pops of brown and my trusty leopard belt to add a little visual interest to this outfit.  I know you guys are probably sick of seeing this bag, but I can't help how much I love it.  It goes with everything and I don't feel like I have to worry about it quite as much as I would with a more expensive bag.

Have you guys tried an all white look yet this summer?

I hope you had a great weekend!  With wedding season around the corner, I wanted to share what I wore to my friend's wedding in Hong Kong (or rather what I planned to wear before the rain made me switch out these shoes for a more waterproof pair...).  As much as I love shopping, when it comes to weddings, I tend to have a few dresses I always reach for, rather than buying a new dress for every wedding.   My dresses tend to be simple and elegant, and I let my accessories stand out.  I bought this dress several months ago during an end of season sale and knew it would be perfect for some of the weddings I had coming up.  The beautiful draped fabric elevates it from a basic LBD into something special.  I paired it with my favorite red shoes and new Kate Spade clutch that I found at Nordstrom Rack for a perfect outfit that I was ready to dance the night away in.

Do you have a go-to wedding outfit?

Have a great day!

Denim Shirt: Old Navy

Greetings from Hong Kong!  I finally made it after 24 hours of travel.  I've been here before, but I always forget how exotic it is with its combination of urban skyscrapers and lush jungle.  We got off to an early start today for my friend's wedding ceremony.  It was my first Indian wedding ceremony and it was absolutely beautiful.  Weddings are one of my favorite things as it is always great to see your friends so happy as they walk down the aisle (or in this case sit under the canopy) to their future husband/wife.  I didn't understand a lot of what the priest said, but another friend did a great job of explaining the significance of each part of the ceremony.  Assuming my jet lag doesn't catch up with me (and the rain holds off), I'm off for a boat ride around the Hong Kong Harbor to celebrate my friend's marriage.

I shot this outfit before I left and it combines two of my current favorite, chambray and stripes. Okay, maybe 3 favorites if we add Bauble Bar in.  I can't claim total credit for this one though as I saw a similar outfit in a picture Target and knew I had all the pieces at home to recreate it.  I love it when that happens as I'm trying to avoid more $50 tubes of mascara!

Have a great weekend!

I guess I can't get enough of my boyfriend jeans!  I picked up this Current/Elliot pair during the Saks friends and family and have been living in them since!  They are so soft and comfortable and I love the distressing.  Now that it is warm, it seems like I can't get enough color.  I dressed them up here with a fun pink and green color combo, including my silk shirt (last seen here).  Obviously this was before the almost 90 degree days we've been having this week!  I think this was the last long-sleeve outfit for a while, unless I want to melt.

P.S. The Saks sneak peak (up to 40% off!) started last night!  I'm loving this Theory blazer, Milly dress, and this Tibi dress.  I'm trying to be good until my trip to Hong Kong and Vietnam (!!) later this month, but shop the sale here. (If I can find them on sale when I get back, I might cave...)

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Graphic Prints

Jacket: Gap, similar

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  We had a little too much fun celebrating my friend's birthday on Friday, so the rest of my weekend was spent recovering.  Sometimes a little forced (or self-inflicted) relaxation is a good thing!

Do you guys ever experience the $50 tube of mascara issue at Target??  This dress is a result of one of those Target trips....  I walked into Target for some very specific items (lotion, coffee, etc.), but as soon as I saw this dress I quickly veered off that list!  I'm not much of a print person, but I love the colors in this print for summer.  They are so bright and fun!  It is also easy to dress up and down.  I wore this outfit to work and then ditched the jacket and switched into these heels for dinner.  Of course, I   I think I may have waited too long to get this on the blog as it is only available in limited sizes online.  Sorry!
