I hope your week is going well!  I wore this (or at least a version of this) on Sunday to run errands and style a client for an upcoming wedding.  I was hoping to get one more wear out of these boots before it became too warm, but I was melting in them!  I had to switch into flats (seen here on Instagram).  After all of my complaining about the cold weather, I'm definitely going to embrace the heat wave.  Bring it on!

I hope you had a great weekend!  Mine was relatively low key other than my friend's dessert party.  I'm not much of a baker so it is great having friends who love to bake.  My friend made 10 different kinds of desserts, including mini pumpkin scones which were amazing!  I had to make a little scone doggie bag, which I enjoyed while watching The Wire today.  I missed it when it was first on, but it is such a well-written show!

I know I was a little slow on the plaid trend when it first started, but plaid has become this season's chambray for me.  In fact, I can't remember the last time I wore my chambray shirt.  Add in my favorite distressed denim jeans and grey suede boots, and this is the perfect weekend outfit.

I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend!  Mine was very relaxing which is exactly what I wanted.  I caught up with some friends and had the best the massage of my life!  This week is very short for me as I'm off to Seattle for a friends' bachelorette party on Friday.

I know I keep saying I'm ready for fall fashion, but this weekend reminded me that it will probably be summer here for a while.  It was so hot that the only thing I could do was embrace summer and wear my gladiator sandals (at least) one last time.  Since they are such a statement (I get comments from men and women every time I wear them), I kept everything else very simple.  I'm still loving this Old Navy vest and I paired it with my new skirt from H&M.  I couldn't find it on the website, but I highly recommend it.  It is made of a very weighty scuba material, so it holds its shape very nicely, and has a wave detailing at the hem, which adds a little bit of visual interest.  Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Like most people, I'm always looking for ways to stretch my clothing budget.  I'm becoming better at remixing the pieces in my closet (most of these pieces have been on the blog before).  I've worn these sandals and this purse so many times this summer.  I know you are probably sick of this purse!  When I'm not remixing, I'm looking for versatile (not too expensive except for shoes) ways to update an outfit and this vest is the perfect piece to update most outfits.

I'm a very happy camper anytime I can shop with free money aka a gift card.  Am I the only one who still gets gift cards as a gift?  Some are awesome (yes to my Saks gift card from my corporate credit card points!) and some not so much (I'm not naming any names here...).  I wanted to share a website that I've recently come across, Raise.com, which allows you to sell unwanted gift cards or buy gift cards at a discount.  I'm looking forward to unloading some of those unnamed gift-cards for cash.  I hate it when I have a gift card to store I don't shop at sitting in my wallet taunting me.  At last check, discounted gift cards were available for most retailers featured today. I hope you had a great weekend!  Mine was filled with apartment hunting, brunching with friends, and several episodes of Breaking Bad.  I know I'm late to the party (several years late...), but I just finished the first season and can't wait to see what happens next!

Pink is one of my favorite colors and pink and blue is one of my favorite color combinations (last seen here).  It has gotten to the point where I'm not sure I can allow myself to buy another pink item, but these pink shorts are one of my summer staples.  J. Crew always has such fun printed shorts and this pair is no exception.  I dressed them up with this beautiful blue top with sheer detailing and statement gladiator sandals.  I'm trying to get at least one last wear out of all of my favorite summer pieces before summer is over.  How did it go by so quickly?!

I hope your week is going well!  From the moment I saw this sweater in the J. Crew catalog a few months ago, I've been eagerly checking the new arrivals sections waiting for it to pop up!  I hate paying full price for most things, but I quickly bought it as soon as it hit stores.  It looks so expensive and is a great piece to dress up any summer outfit (and these shoes don't hurt either...), but it also looks great with white jeans.  I'm trying to wait and see if the other colors make it to the sale but I might cave and pick up another color...  

Do you ever buy multiples of items you love?  I'm so guilty of it!

TGIF!!  Keeping it short and sweet today!  Like many of you, I've been looking for the perfect pair of jean shorts that will carry me through the summer.  I wanted something slightly distressed that I wear by the pool, but also dress up (slightly) if necessary.  After combing through many pairs online and at the mall, I found my perfect pair at J.Crew.  I loved the wash and slight distressing, and that they can be unrolled for a slightly longer length if necessary.  They do stretch out quite a bit, so I might size down if I were to buy another pair.  I love them though and will be wearing them a ton over the summer.  Hmmm, maybe I need to plan a pool day or beach trip now for even more opportunities to wear them....

Happy Friday!  I hope your week is going well!  It's my second to last day in Vietnam as we are heading back to Hong Kong for a night tomorrow before flying back to the US.  I don't think anyone is ever ready to leave vacation, but I'm definitely not ready to go home.  I feel like we have barely scratched the surface of Vietnam as there are so many other places in country to visit (Saigon, Hue, etc).  One week is definitely not enough to fully experience this country.  This was my first time in Southeast Asia and I can't wait to come back! 

I wore this dress to dinner in Hanoi earlier in the week with my friend.  I rarely wear orange, but this dress caught my eye at my favorite boutique.  Dresses are so easy for summer and I can never resist interesting detailing so this dress obviously had me at hello!  Thankfully it is also forgiving as we ate a little too much at dinner... The food here has been amazing and I've discovered several new favorite dishes (hello pho and green papaya salad!).

Vietnam has taken me out of my comfort zone of Europe and the Caribbean, but it has been a very interesting and amazing trip.
