I hope your week is going well!  I wore this (or at least a version of this) on Sunday to run errands and style a client for an upcoming wedding.  I was hoping to get one more wear out of these boots before it became too warm, but I was melting in them!  I had to switch into flats (seen here on Instagram).  After all of my complaining about the cold weather, I'm definitely going to embrace the heat wave.  Bring it on!

Happy Friday!  I love a short week.  You may have seen this outfit on my Instagram a few weeks ago when I wore it to work (here), and I finally got around to putting it up on the blog.

I'm keeping it short today as I'm heading up to Connecticut for my 10 year college reunion this afternoon.  It seems like I was just at my 5 year!  Where does the time go?  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Bag: Zara, old
Bracelets: Bauble Bar, old
Earrings: Boutique find

I hope your week is going well!  I bought this skirt a while ago during the Bloomies end of season sale and have been waiting patiently to wear it.  I'm so glad the warm weather is here and I can finally wear it!  I love the color and would normally pair it with a white t-shirt for a more casual look, but decided to dress it up with this silk shirt.  I can see why everyone is going crazy for those Equipment silk shirts!  This blouse is so versatile, a great color and a perfect way to add polish to a look.  And did I mention it is machine washable?  Perfect!

Happy Friday!  This is going to be a short post since I just got back from a great birthday dinner for my mom.  If you are in Atlanta, you have to check out St. Cecilia.  The food was amazing!!

My obsession with stripes (and heels) is obviously still going strong.   Have a great weekend!

Black and White Chic

Top: Asos
Skirt: Zara
Clutch: Asos
Shoes: Fendi
Bracelets: C. Wonder

I hope your week is going well!  It's funny, but I always thought of myself as a pants person before I started this blog but I think that was just a function of working in male-dominated fields (consulting) and really cold climates (looking at you Chicago and Madison...).  At the beginning of the year, I started a new job in a majority female office here in Atlanta and have really embraced my femininity and style.  In the process, I've discovered that I actually love skirts (and apparently white ones (see here, here).

When I saw this skirt is Zara, I thought about it for a nanosecond before buying it in black and white.  You know a piece is a good buy when you are creating outfits with it before you have even bought it!  I love the split front which is sexy but not in your face.  I love the ruffle detailing on the top of this shirt which elevates from basic to sophisticated.  Add in my favorite Fendi pumps (love the heel!) and a pop of color clutch and I'm ready to go (location tbd....)!

Has a new job ever changed your style?  How did it change?

Have a great day!

How to Wear the Sheer Trend - Dressy Version

Top: Elizabeth and James, last seen here
Skirt: Zara, similar
Jacket: Gap
Necklace: J.Crew, similar
Shoes: Kurt Geiger via Nordstrom Rack

I hope your week is going well!  I have a big work deadline on Thursday, so I'm looking forward to Thursday evening drinks with friends!

I bought this top during a sample sale and wear it a lot with jeans, but I wanted to try to dress it up for a potential dinner/fancy date.  I've wanted a skirt with a sheer bottom for a while, but was unsure of how much I would actually wear it.  When I saw this version in Zara for $25, I jumped on it as I it is a great way to try the trend cheaply before buying a more expensive version.  After trying to wear the skirt with a few different tops, I think I'm okay with the Zara version as I don't see myself getting a lot of wear out it.  I do love it with this top though!

My favorite part of this outfit is the shoes!  We all know I have a weakness for great shoes (here, here, here, you get the idea!) and when I saw these at Nordstrom Rack I had to have them!  I've talked a lot of crap about the shoe selection at my local Nordstrom Rack (after living near the one in downtown Chicago, nothing will compare), but the shoe selection has improved significantly for my last few visits.  I love that these are a basic pump, but the heel totally makes this shoe special (and it is actually comfortable!).  A win all around!

Have a great day!

White on White

 Jacket: Gap
Skirt: Zara
Shoes: Zara, similar
Bracelets: Bauble Bar, old
Necklaces: Loft, old

Happy Friday!!  Are you guys ready for the weekend?  It has been quite the week, so I'm looking forward to just relaxing and playing a game of kickball this weekend.  My team is called Far From Scoring, and that is what we have been!  I think we've scored 1 run in 3 games, but we have a lot of fun, which is what matters (at least, that is what we tell ourselves...).

Like everyone, I've been so ready for spring, and couldn't wait to break out this all white outfit once it got warm enough.  The skirt is very similar to a Zara black fabric skort I bought last summer and then in leather last winter.  I guess I have a thing for the asymmetrical hemline!  I added my trusty jean jacket (you guys are going to be so sick of it by the end of the summer since I wear it ALL the time) and some colorful accessories before heading out.

Have a great weekend!

Sunday Brunch

Top: J. Crew, similar
Skirt: Tibi
Tights: Hue
Boots: Fab'rik, old
Blazer: Fab'rik, old
Necklace: Loft, sold out
Bracelets: C. Wonder (sold out), Bauble Bar

I hope your week is going well!  Over the weekend I attended brunch with Hush Dinner Club, an Atlanta supper club.  I meant to document it for the blog, but as I mentioned on Monday the bottomless mimosas got the best of that idea! For Hush, my friend and I met up with 15 other people we'd never met before at Ink & Elm, a delicious new restaurant in Atlanta.  I'm a huge foodie, so I love trying new restaurants.  I was a little nervous going to brunch with complete strangers, but I've decided that this is a year to try new things.  I ended up having a great time (and a great meal)!

I also learned that taking outfit pictures after a big meal also isn't the best idea, but I managed to get a picture of the outfit in action outside the restaurant (the last one) and decided to recreate it later.  Sunday was slightly cold so I was able to wear my favorite boots one last time and break out my new skirt from the Tibi sample sale.  The skirt color is so rich and beautiful that I don't know if the pictures do it justice.  I was so happy to find my size in the sample sale!  I kept everything else pretty simple (though I now realize I forgot my blazer for the recreation... oops!) and let the skirt be the standout.  I almost wish I could wear it again before it get too warm, but I'm ready for the warmer weather!

Have a great day!

Caution...Feeling Lucky!

Sweater: Milly (last seen here), similar
Top: Old Navy
Skirt: Target, last seen here
Purse: Zara
Shoes: Charles Phillip Shanghai

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I had a fun time catching up with friends on a pub crawl one day and at a supper club brunch on Sunday.  I meant to take pictures of the supper club brunch for the blog, but somehow those intentions got lost in my bottomless mimosa!  I guess I will have to go back :)

When I was at Old Navy picking up my chambray shirt (which I've now worn to death) I saw this cute anchor shirt which I couldn't resist for $25!  While I can't wait to wear it with white jeans and cutoffs in the summer, I decided to break it out this weekend, with my favorite Target skirt and my Milly sweater (minus the leather collar and cuffs).

I also added my new cheeky clutch from Zara. I saw it as I was returning an item and couldn't leave the store without it (story of my life...).  I couldn't find a link to it online, but I bought it last week so it should still be in store.  It is a great pick-me-up piece as I can't help but smile when I read the imprint.  I might need to make it my new motto!

Have a great day!

Monochromatic Blue

Top: BCBG, similar
Skirt: Maje (I also like this one)
Necklace: Bauble Bar
Clutch: Banana Republic, old

I initially was going to share my spring wish list and the trends I'm most excited for for spring, but work got the better part of me today and it was just easier to share one of my new favorite outfits.

I've wanted to try a monochromatic look for a while now as I've slowly been moving away from black and white (very slowly...).  I picked up this top and skirt a few weeks ago at the end of season sale at Bloomingdales and have been patiently waiting for it to warm up enough to wear them.  It may not really be warm enough yet, but I'm sick of winter, so I decided to bring them out.

Blue is growing on me as I've always been more of a pink person, but I loved the lace and peplum of this top and the beautiful color of this skirt.  The different textures break up the color nicely.  I paired them with my favorite pumps (I didn't show the back detail, but it is my favorite part of these shoes!) and my new favorite Bauble Bar necklace, which I get so many compliments on!  I added a jacket to make it slightly more work appropriate (my office is very casual and very fashion-forward) and if I got cold during the day (which always happens!).  I can't wait for it to get warmer to wear this outfit without the jacket.

I hope your week is going well!
