Leather and Leopard

Jacket: Ann Taylor, sold out, similar, similar
Top: A.L.C, similar
Shoes: Kurt Geiger
Clutch: Clare V.
Bracelets: Bauble Bar (here, here, similar), C. Wonder (similar)
Necklace: Bauble Bar

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend!  I'm sorry for the lack of posts last week, but I decided it was best for me to take a break and come back fully refreshed for work and the blog.  A week on the beach is exactly what the doctor ordered!  Let's just say that the biggest decision every day was what beach to go to.  I will hopefully have a vacation recap post up soon, but I'm already trying to figure out how I can get back to St. Martin and Anguilla ASAP!

Now, onto the clothes.  Living in Atlanta, I'm pretty lucky that I can wear most of my wardrobe year-round.  When the temperatures dipped (or dipped for Atlanta), I immediately reached for my tights and favorite stripe sweater to winterize my favorite leather skirt.  You know I'm cold when I have tights on!  With the addition of a little leopard, this variation of my fail-proof black and white combo is ready for work (and after work without the jacket).

On a side (random) note, am I the only one who finds heels less comfortable with tights?

There are also some great deals Green Monday (I don't know when this became like Black Friday or Cyber Monday, but I will never say no to a deal!)

Nordstrom - 40% off selected items
C. Wonder - 30% off + free shipping
Baublebar - 30% off with INSTAGLAM (ends 12/8)
J. Crew - up to 30% with MERRYMERRY (ends 12/9)
Banana Republic - 40% off with code FESTIVE (ends 12/9)

Have a great day!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I didn't do much which felt great after all of the traveling I've done in the past few weeks.

You may have seen this outfit on my Instagram last week here.  I normally keep things pretty classic in the pattern department, but I couldn't resist putting these two together.  It is very nautical and summery with the anchors, and red, white, and blue color scheme.  I don't know if I'm totally sold on pattern mixing, but I like this combo.

Today I'm also teaming up with some great bloggers to giveaway a $230 gift card to Francesca's.  We all know how much I love a great pair of earrings or statement necklace and Francesca's has a great selection (see here, here, here).  All of the details for entering are below!

$230 Francesca's Collection Giveaway!
The Giveaway goes live on Monday, June 9 at 12:00 am PST and ends Sunday, June 15 at 12:00 pm PST. Winner will be announced Monday, June 16

Making Boyfriend Jeans Office Appropriate

Blazer: Loft
Top: BCBG (similar)
Jeans: Current/Elliot (one size too big)
Earrings: Bauble Bar

TGIF!  Keeping it brief today as I had a college happy hour last night.

I wore this outfit to work and got so many compliments I decided to photograph it for the blog!  I love the blue/aqua combination of this BCBG top and Loft blazer and I'm loving my makeshift pair of boyfriend jeans.  They fit perfectly as skinny jeans when I first bought them, but stretched out so much they are now a slim pair of boyfriend jeans, lol!

How are you wearing your boyfriend jeans?  Have a great weekend!

Sunday Brunch

Top: J. Crew, similar
Skirt: Tibi
Tights: Hue
Boots: Fab'rik, old
Blazer: Fab'rik, old
Necklace: Loft, sold out
Bracelets: C. Wonder (sold out), Bauble Bar

I hope your week is going well!  Over the weekend I attended brunch with Hush Dinner Club, an Atlanta supper club.  I meant to document it for the blog, but as I mentioned on Monday the bottomless mimosas got the best of that idea! For Hush, my friend and I met up with 15 other people we'd never met before at Ink & Elm, a delicious new restaurant in Atlanta.  I'm a huge foodie, so I love trying new restaurants.  I was a little nervous going to brunch with complete strangers, but I've decided that this is a year to try new things.  I ended up having a great time (and a great meal)!

I also learned that taking outfit pictures after a big meal also isn't the best idea, but I managed to get a picture of the outfit in action outside the restaurant (the last one) and decided to recreate it later.  Sunday was slightly cold so I was able to wear my favorite boots one last time and break out my new skirt from the Tibi sample sale.  The skirt color is so rich and beautiful that I don't know if the pictures do it justice.  I was so happy to find my size in the sample sale!  I kept everything else pretty simple (though I now realize I forgot my blazer for the recreation... oops!) and let the skirt be the standout.  I almost wish I could wear it again before it get too warm, but I'm ready for the warmer weather!

Have a great day!

Black, Blue, and Leopard

Top: Theory, similar
Skort: Zara
Tights: Hue
Necklace: Boutique Find

TGIF!!  I feel like I say that every week, but I really mean it this week.  It has been such a crazy week at work that I actually fell asleep on the couch at 9pm yesterday  and woke up in the middle of the night in my work clothes.  Has that every happened to you?!

I'm keeping it short today, but this was my goodbye to winter outfit.  Hopefully, I'm not jinxing myself, but I layered this oxford (seen in white here) and tank together with my favorite leather skort from Zara (I seriously love this skort (last seen here) as I have it in other fabrics as well!) as one of my final winter outfits before the (supposed) warm up this week.  Even though our winter was nothing compared to the one up north,  I'm so over it and ready for fun sundresses, sandals, and drinks on the patio.  Lol, maybe I'm just ready for the weekend...

Have a great weekend!

Go-to Work Outfit: A Great Dress

Dress: Milly
Turtleneck: J. Crew
Tights: Hue
Bracelets: Bauble Bar
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Do you ever have those days where you just need a quick, easy outfit to get you out the door in the morning?  An outfit you know you will look and feel great in, but is easy to pull together. My go to work outfit is a great dress and heels (layered over a turtleneck in the winter).  There is something instantly polished about a great dress and it is so much easier than trying to pull separates together.

Milly is one of my go-to designers for dresses.  Every since I could afford it, I've always bought one of her dresses every year to update my wardrobe (preferably on sale!).  I love the mixed pattern of this dress, the very feminine fit, and the pockets!  The dress flatters my body so well.  I layered it over a turtleneck here to extend the wearability during the last gasp of winter this past week, but look forward to wearing it without the turtleneck soon (bye bye winter!)

If you see me in this dress, chances are I overslept or couldn't decide what to wear that morning!

What is your go-to work outfit?

Have a great day!
