I hope your week is going well! I think I mentioned last week that things have been a little crazy around here recently. It was all due to a big meeting at work last week (which went really well!). Whenever I have a big meeting, I always like to wear something I know I feel comfortable and confident in, like a great dress and one of my favorite blazers. The day of a big meeting is not the time to try out a new outfit or new shoes... The hot pink of this blazer is so bright and I can't help but be in a great mood whenever I see it. It's a small thing but knowing I look put together and everything fits well helps me focus on the important work of the meeting.
What do you do or wear to feel your best for a big meeting?
I hope you had a great weekend! Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments on Friday. It is amazing what a good night's sleep and a little me time (i.e. reading, relaxing, and shopping) will do. I'm sorry I left you on a low note on Friday, but I feel so much better and refreshed now. Sometimes it is hard to remember that you have to set time aside to recharge, but I always feel so much better when I do.
Have you every bought something that you don't know how you lived without it before you found it? Maybe that is a little extreme, but this jacket is totally that for me. I was killing some time in Zara (I should know better by now) and walked by this jacket. I almost didn't try it on, but a great leather jacket has been on my list for a while. As soon as I put it on thought, it was love at first sight and I want to wear it with everything! I swear it makes almost every outfit look better. I can't believe it was under $100! I think I got the better end of the bargain, but I'm not complaining. I'm going to warn you in advance that you will be seeing a lot of this jacket over the next few months.
Have a great day and thanks for reading! Shop the post and similar items below
Happy Friday!! Do you ever have those days or weeks when you just aren't inspired by anything in your closet and/or are just too tired to pull cute outfits together? That was this week for me. I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend, going to Taste of Atlanta and maybe doing a little shopping. I've pulled together a few items I've my eye on and hopefully a little bit of rest and relaxation will help bring the creative juices back. How do you guys reignite the creative juices when you get into a little bit of a funk about what's in your closet?
I hope your week is going well! I'm popping in for a quick hello as it has been a busy week at work trying to get ready for a big meeting this week. A leather skirt is one of those great fall basics that serves me year after year. I updated my version this year with this pleated one from Banana Republic. I've loved it ever since I first saw it in the new arrivals section there. It is sold out, but I've linked to several similar skirts. I can't wait to style it so many different ways, especially with a cozy sweater and tights!
What are some of the fall basics that you always reach for?
I hope you had a great weekend!! It was an amazingly beautiful weekend here.
A floral pencil skirt has been on my list for summer/fall ever since I saw this one on Piperlime. Luckily, I found a great version at Fab'rik a few weeks ago. I stalked waited patiently for another woman to put down the only one left in my size and promptly bought it. I love it with just a simple t-shirt while it is still warm out, but I can see it transitioning into fall with booties and a chunkier knit given the skirt's darker color palette. Also, does anyone else think Old Navy has been killing it with some of their pieces recently?! You know I loved the Old Navy bucket bags this summer, but this clutch is a great piece and a total steal!
Happy Friday! What are you guys up to this weekend? I'm giong to an early Halloween party so I have to pull together (or buy) a costume tonight. Any suggestions?? As it has started to get colder, I've been pulling together my wish list for fall. I'm excited for statement coats, cozy sweaters, and boots, which I think are the only real holes in my closet. Holes is very loosely defined.... Have a great weekend!
I hope your week is going is well! I know that I experiment with color, but black and white is a classic combo that I always come back to. It is so clean and classic (and easy!). I saw this jacket in a local boutique and initially walked by it but couldn't stop thinking about it. Does that every happen to you? Anyway, I obviously went back and have worn this jacket so many times since I picked it up a few weeks ago. It is the perfect statement jacket!
Also, don't forget that Baublebar, one of my favorite stores, is doing 25% off until midnight Thursday with the code Friends25! I've already got my eyes on a few pieces to update my collection (here, here, here)!
I hope your week is going well! I had to pop in for a special post this week to let you know about one of the best sales of the year, the Shopbop sale! This year it is even better as it is 25% off your entire purchase with no spending thresholds to hit. I normally find Shopbop a little expensive so I usually use this sale as a chance to splurge on a pair of shoes (I got this pair last year). Shocking, I know.
Anyway, I thought I would share a few items that I'm considering. Only two items above are over $250, as I'm trying not to blow the budget before all of the great holiday sales start. If I was going to though, it would totally be on this pair of shoes!
Use code FAMILY25 for 25% off your purchase. The sale starts today and runs through October 16th and 11:59PT.
Happy shopping!! What are you guys considering from the sale?
I hope you had a great weekend! I had a fabulous time in Denver at my friend's wedding. She hosted her reception at an amazing restaurant, Beast + Bottle, that I highly recommend if you are ever in Denver!
It took me a while to jump on the leggings trend, but now I wish I'd bought a pair sooner. I'm a sucker for anything leather or leather-like, so when I saw this top at Fab'rik, I knew I had to have it. It runs small as I'm wearing a large, but I love the leather and zipper detailing which are a fun twist on a basic, black top.
Happy Friday! I'm keeping it short and sweet today as I'm off to Denver this weekend to watch my best friend from pre-school (!!) marry an amazing guy. I'm so happy for her and excited to be able to celebrate with them.
Do you guys have fun plans for the long weekend? I don't have Monday off, but I'm slightly jealous of those who do. Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
